Schedule of Guided Walks
We post our schedule of guided walks for three to 6 months in advance. Some people find it useful to download and print the schedule (above) and post it on a notice board for easy reference. In addition, we send out an email midweek announcing the guided walk for the following Sunday. We also post on Facebook and the "Meetup" website
Lots of choices
For each walk our schedule shows the meet up location, the name of the walk leader and a contact phone number and the trail rating [the degree of difficulty of terrain or elevation. Each of our walks has a 10 KM and a 5 or 6KM option. Sign in and Registration for each walk is at the meet up location 15 minutes before the start time. There is a nominal charge for each walk to cover the cost of admin and insurance.
You will find after a few walks that some activities seem to be designed especially for you. You may pick whatever level of activity you wish - no questions asked! You may want to walk only once or twice a year or whenever possible. You may prefer to walk in certain seasons only. You may enjoy walks along our seashore lakes and rivers, Some like our shorter walks while others like the challenge of longer walks and even a marathon once a year.
Many of our members choose to participate in the Individual achievement awards program. What appeals to the individual is important - not what someone else thinks you should be doing!
